Chloe's Final Fan Fiction

<THE SAME PERSON>

In 1888, from 31st August to 8th November, there was a person who threw the London citizens in a state of terror. His name was Jack the Ripper. He had already committed two disgusted murder. Swanson inspector assumed that the Jack the Ripper was a knowledgeable person in dissection. Jack the Ripper murdered five prostitutes and he dissected all the bodies. The prosecution weren’t able to arrest him and the Jack the Ripper suddenly disappeared after the fifth murder.

It was very dark inside even though it was early afternoon. Holmes had a newspaper in his hand and was reading the same article over and over again. The second corpse was found and a letter was send to the press. The second victim was Annie Chapman. She was also a prostitute. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Holmes didn’t answer but the door opened. It was Watson. The moment he went into the room, he frowned because of the smell that was all around the room. Holmes said “What brings you here?” not even looking at Watson. Watson sat down on the sofa and said “Mrs. Hudson called me.” Holmes silently passed a letter that was in his hand with the newspaper. “Jammy Estiorra? Who is this?” Watson read out the strange name on the letter and looked at Holmes. Holmes finally stood up from the sofa and picked up his violin. “Professor James Moriarty.” Holmes replied while holding the violin. Watson couldn’t understand what Holmes was saying but he just started to read the letter.

-Dear. Sherlock Holmes
It’s been a while since we met. I guess you’re missing me as well.
I prepared a present for you. I have raised him since he was 10 years old.
He has grown beautifully and strong. I wasn’t expecting him to do this well.
Will you be able to stop him?
He listens to me. He will never disobey me.
Holmes, two filthy prostitutes are going to be found soon.
He won’t stop, and prostitutes will be found dead until they all disappear.
There is nothing you can do, Holmes.
I’ll tell you one thing. His name is Jack the Ripper.
Let’s see what you can do, Holmes.

Watson looked at Holmes after reading the letter. He looked shocked because of the name that was mentioned in the letter. Then he carefully watched the name again. ‘Jammy Estiorra’ was just a mixture of ‘James Moriarty’. Holmes placed the violin where it was before. “Seems like you’ve notice. Yes, the letter is from Professor James Moriarty. That name is just a silly joke. It’s time for us to leave. We should head to the ‘White Chapel’.”

By the time the letter that Professor Moriarty sent, was arrived to Holmes, another letter was arrived at the London press. The letter started with ‘Dear. Boss’. He indicated his hatred towards the prostitutes and confidently said that polices will never be able to arrest him. He predicted the murder that is going to happen and at the last, he named himself as ‘Jack the Ripper’.

Swanson inspector was still wandering around the scene of incident. He couldn’t stop thinking that the culprit might be belonging to the upper class. The two bodies that were found were dissected as if it was used in the dissection class. They weren’t able to find any clue about the culprit. All they found out was that the two victims were both prostitutes. There was another person who was wandering around the scene. It was Holmes. After listening to Swanson inspector about all the personal information of the two victims, Holmes sat down on the ground and didn’t move. Watson sat down beside Holmes. Holmes was staring at the scene. A few minutes later, he suddenly stood up. Watson was trying to follow him, but Holmes stopped him. “Stay here, and see if anyone is coming close to the scene. I won’t be long.” Holmes whispered to Watson and walked away. Watson sighed and stared at the scene just like Holmes.

Prosecutors were all around the White Chapel. They waited all night but Jack the Ripper didn’t show up. Early morning, they all pulled out and returned. Expecting that Jack the Ripper showing up the next day. However, few hours later, bodies were found at White Chapel. Swanson inspector ran into the scene of incident. He could see that it was done by Jack the Ripper as the bodies were dissected.

Holmes was shocked. He stayed near brothels all night but he didn’t see anyone suspicious person. He crushed the letter that he received from Professor Moriarty. Holmes was blaming himself. He couldn’t stop the murder. Holmes unfolded the map he had. All of the prostitutes were working at the different brothel. Holmes frowned and stared at the map. Then Holmes suddenly realized something. He held a pen and started drawing lines on the map. All four of them had to pass the same street to go to the brothel.

Another letter was sent to the London press. That letter was immediately impounded by the prosecution. This also was from Jack the Ripper. The letter started with “none of you were able to stop me.” He blamed the prosecutors for not being able to arrest him. He also mentioned that his murder is yet incomplete which means he will still continue the murder. The case was driving Swanson inspector crazy. He yelled at the prosecutors to protect White Chapel.

Three days have been passed since the letter arrived. It was 5:40am. Mary Jane Kelly was on her way to return home. She was exhausted and sleepy. She had to walk faster and faster to go home and get some sleep. Someone suddenly grabbed her arm. She stared at him exasperatedly. He said, “It’s been a while, Jane. Long time no see.” Mary carefully looked at the man’s face. Then all of a sudden, her face was full of fright.

Holmes rushed into every alley in White Chapel. Then he suddenly stopped. He could smell blood. He slowly walked and then turned to his left. The scene was horrifying. The body wasn’t dissected. She was cruelly slashed to death. Jack the Ripper was still there. Holmes pulled out a pistol. “Guess I was too late.” Holmes said. Jack the Ripper looked back at him. “I didn’t expect you would find me. Guess you are more intelligent than I thought.” Jack the Ripper placed a piece of paper near the body so the prosecutors will be able to find it. Holmes looked down the body. “I didn’t expect that you could murder the one you loved.” Jack the Ripper grinned and walked away from the body. “Professor James Moriarty.” Jack the Ripper walked towards Holmes, taking off his gloves. “You shouldn’t be calling that name. How did you find out that I was Jack the Ripper?” He was still grinning as if nothing happened. “The four victims were camouflages for this murder. You’re target was Mary Jane Kelly from the first place.” They could hear sirens. Moriarty slowly walked pass Holmes. “That’s right. But there is nothing you can do, Holmes. There is no evidence.” Moriarty slowly pointed at the piece of paper he dropped. “Let’s see if you can make that as evidence.” Moriarty slowly drifted away from the scene of murder. Holmes picked up the piece of paper and read what was written. “The jewels are the man that will not be blamed for nothing.”
He placed the piece of paper back to where it was. Then he left the alley.

Jack the Ripper’s murder was stopped from then. There were lots of rumors but there was no truth. People assumed Jack the Ripper has died. May be that is true. Jack the Ripper has died. But Professor James Moriarty was still alive. Holmes threw the newspaper in the rubbish bin. Watson can see that Holmes was depressed. “I couldn’t stop it.” Holmes sat down on the sofa. “May be. But the murder has stopped now. You have saved the sixth victim.” Holmes looked at Watson. “I wasn’t able to arrest him.” Watson couldn’t say anything. All of a sudden, there was a knock on the door. It was a client. It was a young lady. Holmes was listening to her. Watson could see he is not depressed anymore. As Holmes received another request, he tried to forget everything about Jack the Ripper. Promising with himself to arrest Professor Moriarty one day.

  2. Chloe!
I was a bit confused about what was happening in each scene, but I liked the way you wrote the letter, and as it seems Holmes was curious to solving it and kept trying while other left the scene of the crime.
I might read this book now!

    Good job Bona :)
